I Design Shoes

I have been lucky enough to be a guest artist who designs shoes for the awesome shoe brand Bucketfeet! Bucketfeet brands itself as "artist designed footware," and they select artists from around the world to design custom artwork for their awesome sneakers. They feature artists from places like Hiroshima, Brooklyn, Rio de Janeiro, Atlanta, Bogota, Lagos, Toronto, Paris, LA, London, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and even me, Meryl in Oakland, CA. The thing that makes Bucketfeet even cooler is that they put their shoe sales into the pockets of their artists - for every shoe that sells, the artist that designed them gets a royalty. How cool is that? Pretty fucking cool.

I was part of the first group of featured guest artists and the first female artist that Bucketfeet launched with (many shoes designed by co-founder Aaron Firestein were already for sale).

You can purchase my current pair of Bucketfeet shoes - PATCHWORK - here

These shoes were Bucketfeet's #2 best seller for the Summer of 2013.

And, if you act super fast, you can still get my first edition of Bucketfeet shoes - CTCM - in very limited quantities here. I was also really lucky to be featured in some awesome places
